What is Outcry?

A passionate movement of young people who speak up for Christians across the world who are persecuted because of their faith, making a difference through prayer and by campaigning for religious liberty and human rights.

Session 1

Meet the persecuted Church

Gear up your group leaders with background reading on the theology of persecution, discuss the meaning of religious freedom and introduce the topic of the persecuted Church with images and stats

Bible study - The body is a unit
Help your group to gain a biblical view of our responsibility to speak up for our presecuted brothers and sisters through bible study and activities

Case study and prayer ideas
Introduce your group to Zmitser Dashkevich, a young Christian human rights activist from Belarus, write letters of encouragement and pray for him and his country.

 Session 2

Campaigning for change
What is advocacy?
Introduce your group leaders to political lobbying and show how our actions can make a big impact on the lives of those we campaign for.

Bible study - Praising God through persecution
Help your group to identify God's promises for his people, understand His power and justice and write a communal psalm.

Case study - Prisoners of conscience
Explore the realities of persecution facing Christians today, write a letter to your MP regarding Mohammed Hegazi from Egypt and even create you own video petition
